When I started making money on the internet, I chose to start on eBay. I began by thinking what I could buy for a low price and sell high. Then I started thinking about what would be easiest to ship. For example, I could buy a bowling ball for a dollar but shipping it would be expensive and labor intensive. I decided on men's vintage clothing. I could pick the items I wanted to sell up at garage sales, local thrift stores, and free stuff on Craigslist.
Researching on eBay for what you want to sell is easy. Sign up for an eBay account. Then log in and search for the items you are thinking about selling. Auctions will appear and you can see what price they are going for. Then look to the left side of the screen and hit the "completed items" link. This will tell you what really sells.
Now some people will use dropshipping companies that supply them with products and will ship them. I chose not to do this because everyone and their mother is selling that same merchandise. This drives prices down and your profit margin.
The steps are easy to follow when you go to sell your items. Make sure your description is accurate to the condition of the item. Take good pictures and measurements. All of this work will insure your feedback rating is excellent. Your feedback rating is key.
Look for sellers who are selling similar items to get ideas for your ads. You will want to look at shipping methods and return policies. Once you place a few items up for auction you will have it down and be hooked. It is easy money.
