Why the heck would you want to use an eBay code? Well honestly there is only one reason and it's a good one. The only reason to use one of these codes is to save money. I'm not sure about anyone else but that's reason enough for me. I am super happy if I can save $1 or $100. Just the fact that I saved is cool.

In the last 2 or 3 years the eBay code has become quite popular with shoppers at the popular online auction site. Why wouldn't it when you have a great chance to save money on your purchases. I have personally been witness to savings up to $400 dollars and have heard of savings in the thousands. Of course those would be on very high end items but oh well.

I always use an eBay code when I make a purchase. In the last 6 months I have done a bit of an unscientific experiment and would estimate that the codes work approximately 85% of the time. I noticed a lot less failure when using codes on the first week of the month. The reason the codes fail is simply because they ran out of savings.

Once in a while you will find an eBay code that never expires. That's one you should hang onto. It is usually for quite a small percent of savings but in this economy especially any little bit helps. Another time that the codes seem to work absolutely great is around any kind of holidays. Not just Christmas but any of the holidays.

At the end of the day you are going shopping and you are going to purchase what you want with or without a code. So it really doesn't hurt to take the time to grab a code and get on with your day. I think once you see your first savings you will be forever addicted to the proverbial eBay code.
