Sacred Dynamite
by
Jeff L Brown
I have never been one who believed that human births are accidents, or that we are little more than random concentrations of stardust. I believe we are all here with a divine purpose at the heart of our birth. As we deal with the challenges, pressures and distractions of daily life, it is all too easy to lose sight of this purpose and become spiritually unimaginative, momentarily forgetting that there is a well spring of magnificence laying in wait within us.

Lemons Anyone?
by
L.C. Duperouzel
The other day while walking to the supermarket to pick up some toiletries, I observed that my lovely neighbor Susan had left a plastic bag full of lemons on the flat limestone surface of the corner pillar of her property. Having a lemon tree in her front yard that produces this acidic fruit in abundance, this day's act of kindness was not one practiced in isolation.

Taking La Chance
by
L.C. Duperouzel
The story of Bernard LaChance is truly inspirational. The realization of our dreams often demands that we take risks that are scary even to contemplate. Burning our bridges behind us, we often free ourselves to move forward with a newfound passion and vigour that propels us towards our destination at an alarming rate.

Hometown Hero
by
L.C. Duperouzel
The other day while doing some book shopping in the city, I noticed a large throng of people gathered in Forrest Place. Wondering initially what event they were there to celebrate, I had my curiosity satisfied when hometown boxing hero Danny Green took to the stage to wild applause. Having just come off the biggest victory of his career against American legend Roy Jones Junior, he soaked up the adulation before using the occasion to thank the public for their massive support in the lead up to the fight.

Hope Made by Noble Hands and a Heart of Gold

A. H. Scott
In a cozy corner of the bookstore, two leather wing back chairs faced an old fashioned wooden cupboard with an oval rug on the floor. A spiral staircase to my left led to the second floor...

The Value of Doing Nothing
by
Michael B. Owen
I belong to a Men's Group at that has a paradoxical mission. Our group strives to do nothing. This goal is not a surprise to our wives or significant others. We have no agenda, no curricula, and no program. We seldom start on time. No one brings food.

What Are You Doing, and Why? It's All About Integrity
by
Peter Vajda, Ph.D
When we experience harmony and balance in our lives, it's most often because there is a conscious alignment between what we think, feel, say and do. We are in integrity. Our life choices and decisions - at work, at home, at play and in relationship, have a "felt-sense" of being true, honest and sincere. We have a "knowing" that our thinking, feeling, be-ing and do-ing come from a place that is honest, sincere and self-responsible.

Things You Do and Don't Like, But Miss Later
by
Randall Gibbons
One thing that I thought was particularly painful, often times physically, when I was living in Angarsk and St. Petersburg, Russia was the process of going to purchase groceries. The act of shopping was not bad at all, since most of the time I did it with my wife and I enjoyed spending the time with her so much, but the hard part was carrying the groceries home.

And then it happened, Yehuda stepped forward. The same Yehuda who felt seething jealousy when his father showed favoritism to Yosef. The same Yehuda who participated in throwing Yosef in a pit. The same Yehuda who suggested selling Yosef into slavery. That same Yehuda stepped forward, stuck his neck out, and argued on behalf of Binyamin.

The Troubled Sleep of a Tormented Mind
by
Robert Briggs
I'm dying I realize. No, not that I have cancer, or lymphoma or any other debilitating disease of the flesh. But I am dying every day that I live. As are you. We ever move toward that time when eternity and destiny meet up with mortality and then "whoosh" our last moment is gone.

Karen Chai
One crucial element that contributes towards any part of success is a heart filled with determination. Staying determined is not as easy as it sounds and often a lot of sweat and blood are involved. It does sound scary because determination is backed by the ability to cross fire without fear and to be able to go all the way to the end.

Winning in an Unexpected Way

Sally Marks
Ever since I was a little girl playing baseball (and later softball) I had a reoccurring fantasy of hitting a game-winning, home run. My imagination created the ideal scenario. Two outs, at least one runner on base, and my team would be behind by one run.

What Does it Take For You to Live Your Dream?
by
Tetka Rhu
Everyone has dreams; however how many people live them? From the moment we are born, we are all destined to live a purpose. Coming into a world which is foreign to our spiritual environment we are guided and inspired in our early days to crawl, and then walk. As we continually move forward we are then taken into an atmosphere which is based on the beliefs and patterns of our parent's upbringing and heritage.

Have You Looked in the Mirror?
by
Jeff Stahl
There is no question as much as people try to deny it. A person will value his or her self worth on what they do as job versus who they are. To a certain degree you can't blame them since most of your waking hours are spent in the job or profession you do voluntarily or otherwise.
