Omega 3 and Magnesium Deficiency - Symptoms and Treatment

This known deficiency is one of the most common yet the most under-valued health problem. Omega 3 fatty acids are essential for the healthy functioning of every cell in our body. This mineral just like other nutrients is extremely vital for various enzymatic processes in the body.

Green leafy vegetables such as Spinach and broccoli, walnuts, tofu, soybeans and flaxseed oil are considered healthy foods since they contain omega 3 fats, magnesium and many other nutrients.

Regular intake of omega 3 supplements such as Fish oil can lower the triglycerides and increase the HDL cholesterol levels in the blood. This reduces the risk of coronary heart diseases.

To correct the deficiency, you need to consume supplements that contain essential fats and magnesium. One such supplement is the Fish oil extracted from the Hoki fish. Hoki is a cold-water fatty fish found in the oceans of New Zealand and contains naturally high EPA and DHA levels.

Magnesium deficiency can disturb the rhythm of heart beats and cause Arrhythmias. Fish oils and magnesium supplements can correct this disorder, thus preventing us from sudden cardiac arrest and heart failure.

Fish oils can effectively treat mental disorders resulting from such deficiency's. Depression, Schizophrenia, Alzheimer's disease, ADHD and insomnia can be cured by regular intake of fish oils.

Joint problems such as Arthritis and inflammation can also be treated by increasing the intake of omega 3 supplements. Fish oils cure skin problems such as eczema, psoriasis, rashes, allergies and acne.
