Zhu Zhu Pets Hamsters - How to Pay Less When You Buy

For all those parents out there that have been caught up in the current Zhu Zhu Pets hamsters (often pronounced as Zoo Zoo Pets hamsters and Zu Zu Pets hamsters) madness that is currently sweeping the country and seems to be escalating every day that gets closer to Christmas, you will probably be aware that the prices for both the hamsters and accessories have sky rocketed out of control.

With just a couple of months till Christmas, if your kids have got their hearts set on a Zhu Zhu hamster, like mine, then here are a couple of hints, from personal experience, on how you can make sure that you actually get what you want at more realistic prices. All the points are really common sense, but like a lot of parents, when it comes to buying the latest must have Christmas toy, often common sense goes out of the window.

Shop In Store. The problem with the Zhu Zhu hamsters and all of the most popular accessories available for these furry animals is that stock levels are low and demand rising by the minute. The result is that stores literally get a new stock in and then before you can blink they are sold out. Stores also have the problem that they just don't know when they will get new stock. If you are a Walmart or Toys r Us frequent shopper, which most parents inevitably become when they have children, than if you are in store make sure that if you see what you want, just buy it. If you don't want to go to the actual store than you could always phone and if they have them in stock, they will usually hold them for a short period for you.

Shop Online. Online shopping at the moment is perhaps the more popular method and certainly has the greatest stock availability with the obvious shopping convenience from home. Be warned though, that when the Zhu Zhu hamster craze took hold, people out there bought up the limited supplies and were reselling them at ridiculous prices. Having said that, in recent days especially, hamster stock levels have seemed to increase to the point that if you hunt smartly there are actually some real price bargains to be found.

Don't Wait. If you are sure that you want to buy your child a Zhu Zhu hamster or any of the hamster accessories for Christmas and are thinking about doing it last minute, two things are almost certain to happen. Either you will simply not be able to find supply of the hamster toy that you want or you will need to pay a small fortune for the privilege. The fact that Toys r Us has just added the Zhu Zhu hamster to their hot toy list for Christmas will only make the situation worse. You have been warned...from repeated experience may I add!

Bundled Bargains. Most parents that buy a Zhu Zhu hamster also buy some form of additional accessory or indeed more than one hamster. The most popular add-on by far is the Funhouse and the most popular hamsters themselves are Mr Squiggles and Num Nums. Very recently, independent traders especially have recognized this buying habit and you are seeing an increasing number of worthwhile bundles. When I say worthwhile, I really mean a bulk buying discount on what you would pay if you were to buy each hamster item separately. Obvious really, but most people realize the bundled savings to be had after they have already bought the initial hamster and then buying a bundle really is pointless then.
