Zerg Vs Zerg Strategy - Fast Banelings Into Economy Build

Many Starcraft 2 Zerg vs Zerg strategies force you to get a lot of Zerglings and a few Banelings in order to try to get lucky and take your opponent out early. There's usually not many expansions or much excitement in these matches, so try this strategy to change it up and make it more exciting.

This Zerg vs Zerg strategy is a slight variation to the usual Zergling/Baneling strategy. Basically it will help you get some Banelings into your opponents base very early, usually before he has any real defense to stop it. Then you can blow up some of his Drones to get the economic advantage and transition into a mid-game strategy.

Once you get 10 Drones, save up your minerals and build a Spawning Pool, build another Drone and put an Extractor on your Gas geyser. Now make an Overlord and one more Drone.

Once your Extractor is done, put 2 Drones in it to get your gas count up, and build a Baneling Nest once you have 50 gas. When your Spawning Pool is done, you should have 3 Larvae ready so make 6 Zerglings and run them into your opponents base. They will probably have some defenses up (Queen, Spine Crawler, etc.), so run away and out of sight.

Now norph 5-6 Zerglings into Banelings right when your Baneling Nest finishes and move your Banelings into his mineral line. It's best to split them up so he can't just run away in one direction with his Drones. Get in there and kill as many workers as you can with your Banelings, then start pumping drones, get a Queen and start teching. This should put you at a pretty good worker advantage going into midgame where you can get Mutalisks or Hydralisks.
