Ask friends who have pets what kennel they use for their pets. Lastly, you can ask the kennel itself for references. If they are a reputable operation then they should be able to give you adequate references regarding their services.

The other alternative is to get an automatic food dispenser for your pet. These devices will release food into your dogs bowl at the same time each day. You can determine when and how much your pet will eat when you are away from home. This is a big deal to many people as they want to retain some control.
