When you begin noticing small changes in your boyfriend's behavior, and you start feeling insecure about your relationship, this could be a very crucial time. Saying or doing the wrong thing could cause your whole world to explode.

But sometimes things outside your relationship can cause your boyfriend to seem distant and preoccupied and you start wondering if he is thinking of breaking up with you. These could be signs that you had better be on your toes to head off trouble before it strikes, or it might be nothing to worry about at all. If you are feeling a bit neglected and wondering if he still loves you, join the club. This happens to all women at some time in their relationship. The thing to guard against when you feel this way is becoming too pushy. You want to draw your boyfriend out and find out where the relationship stands. Is he ever going to commit or is he just content letting things stay the way they are.

There are some things to look for which will tell you that your boyfriend is serious about the relationship and others that will say he is not in it for the long haul.

One of the signs that he is serious is the amount of time he spends with you. During the time you are together do you share experiences and make each other laugh? Is your boyfriend anxious to tell you about funny little things that happened during the day? Does his face light up whenever he sees you? Does he truly listen and seem interested when you tell him about your day? Does he take every opportunity to show you affection with a hug or a quick pat? If you are seeing these things from your boyfriend, it is a very good sign that he loves you and is in the relationship for the long haul and just a few subtle hints or a light push will get him to make a firm commitment to you.

On the other hand, if your boyfriend cannot leave you after a date soon enough or is frequently breaking dates by using some lame excuse or another, you should consider that your boyfriend is not really your boyfriend after all but rather just an occasional date.
