Young Entrepreneurs - From a Grave - A Lesson From Napoleon Bonaparte

Expert Author Martyna Bizdra

So what is the key to true greatness?

Napoleon Bonaparte, one of the strongest personalities in the history of mankind, wanted to change the world. He knew that the true power comes from within. He knew how to transform it into gold. Sometimes what we need to awaken the giants within - is to see the true greatness in someone else, real character, of blood and flesh, and...a true spirit.

"A true man hates no one." "The whole secret of existence is to have no fear. Never fear what will become of you, depend on no one. Only the moment you reject all help are you freed." This quote is attributed to Buddha. What he is saying is that when you respect your own feelings and listen to your own intuition first and foremost, there is no one to fear and no one to hate. The strengths of your inner self and of your character are measured by the respect you have for other people. You may disagree with their opinions but these opinions cannot harm you. The perfect example of this can be observed in an example of Dr Viktor Frankl, the prisoner of four different German concentration camps. He survived the tragedy of captivity thanks to his ability to make choices about the way events affected him. He never let humiliation touch him.

"The battlefield is a scene of constant chaos. The winner will be the one who controls that chaos, both his own and the enemies." Literal battlefield or not, every single moment of our lives gives us the opportunity to control the chaos. We are forced to make decisions at any given moment, and some of these decisions shape our lives powerfully. It is a constant fight between who we are and who we want to be. There are no two moments alike. Thus the decisions we make define our future. The more we listen to our inner intuition, the more we learn to act the way we feel is right the closer we come to our inner genius mind. The capacity of our brains are far beyond our imagination, and the powers we possess are measured by the examples of great people in business, arts, sports, science. For example, the genius of Einstein is based on his ability to choose his own judgments despite the words of others. Listen to your gut. Control your own chaos.

"The best cure for the body is a quiet mind." Our brain creates everything that exists in our lives and what will come into existence in the future. It has been proven by modern science that our minds do not differentiate between real events and imagined ones when it comes to our bodily reactions, so the brain creates the same chemical reactions and as a result we feel happiness, fear, depression, etc. All illnesses are created by the way people think. It brings great hope because we can cure ourselves by first looking after the well-being of our mental health, our self-reliance, our purpose in life, our ability to love. Here are two simple examples: one, look at people in love - their beauty, radiant skin, and inner vitality reflects their well-being. Two, laughing yoga: laughter cures all. There are many examples of cancer patients curing themselves by watching comic movies, laughing, and surrounding themselves with bright colours and positive people.
