You Were Born Rich - Uncovering Your Dreams

Expert Author Roxanne Wehr

You were born rich and you can turn your life into anything you want. Unfortunately, you are the one person getting in the way of that. You have accumulate a massive amount of negative influences and attitudes along the way ultimately keeping you from what you want. During these travels through life you've collected many tools to deal with the hardships such as denial, television, alcohol and other forms of depressants. Similarly, you've also used caffeine and quick fixes to create the highs in your life.

You want to be that person on the magazine cover, but the novelty of a new purchase quickly disappoints. You realize the advertisements aren't real. The companies don't care about you. The companies do care about separating you from your money.

Why did life turn out this way? Well, you have been listening to everyone but yourself. You've listened to family, to teachers and, of course, to your boss. These folks have a huge vested interest in your performance, not well being, your performance. They don't get pats on the back for making sure you're happy. I know it's hard to hear.

There is, however, a way to insulate yourself from the negativity. First, you must stop trying to live up to other people's expectations of you. This will be hard and you must do this incrementally to save your sanity. Switching from a consumer drone to an self serving individual will take time. Your attitude will have to change. People will be upset of your transformation and will readily give you their opinions. All of this will be hard to take.

You do have an advantage. All along, you've had dreams trying to guide your way. They tell you where you need to go and what your true potential is.

For example, you've always felt right at home surrounded by books. Could your feelings tell you that you should work with books as a librarian, a bookstore clerk, a writer or an editor? What if you feel a rush of happiness each time you view a well composed photograph? Should you be a photographer or designer of some type? These feelings and signs reside in your dreams.

It is up to you to start, though. You cannot sit and wait at home for someone to tell you what to do. You have to actively pursue it. Find support or information or both, but you have to get started.
