You Want Me to Learn the Piano?

I am probably like most people when I say I would love to play an instrument or more specific the piano. I have tried to teach myself to play on and off for many years. It is not easy or we would all be playing piano. I have a few friends that play and they have given me pointers and techniques to try but it always ended with me frustrated for the most part. I have a midi studio setup at my place and I have been sampling music for as long as I can remember but it is nothing like taking an idea from scratch to completion from your own mind.

It is important to me that I understand music basics and the fundamental elements of music. As I continue my search to find the right tool or instructor to help me understand the piano, I have found you must be patient and put aside time to practice daily to achieve the best results. I found a package that has a ton of videos and audios. I can download e books, charts and a ton of extra things I never thought I needed.

I find that now I chat more online about learning how to play and sharing my story with others has helped me stay focused and stick to my practice more. Thanks to all who have share information with me and answered all my questions about the piano and midi music in general. I hope to one day, play some blues tunes, jazz piano or even classical you name it, but that is far off from now.
