Xbox 360 repair guides have sprung up everywhere on the Internet like mushrooms. They are supposed to show you step by step, how to fix the red ring of death. Which of these can you trust not to be scams? Rather than make a recommendation myself, I will show you how to avoid getting ripped off altogether.
True scams are deliberate deceptions where the author wins your money and you get nothing in return. A close cousin to the scammer, is a someone who puts out a copy cat product of poor quality. It does the job somewhat but not very well. Instead of nothing for your money, you get very little.
The key to avoiding all scams lies in only buying the product if it is sold through a well established third party that gives you a rock solid guarantee. It's that simple. If the product fails to do as promised, you get your money back by asking for a refund within the guarantee period.
One such third party is ClickBank. They started in 1998. Great products and junk products have been sold through them. They have survived for eleven years because all products sold whether good or bad, have a money back, no questions asked, guarantee.
So how do you know which Xbox repair guide is sold through ClickBank? When you are on the sales page, click the purchase button. This will take you to a payment form. The URL in your address bar should start with https://ssl.ClickBank. net. You will also see the ClickBank marketplace logo on the top right of your screen.
Any repair guide that has lots of "buzz" about it, will probably do the job. The reason is that if they were true scams, they wouldn't last long. The main thing is buying a guide through ClickBank so that you can get your money back if it's a piece of junk.
