The Xbox 360 console has enjoyed much success since its release - but its come not without its problems as well! If you have read news articles and browsed the numerous Xbox forums on the internet you'll see countless xbox gamers reporting various Xbox 360 problems like freezing, overheating , loose components and the most prominent error - the Three Red Light error or RRoD.
These errors can be attributed to the Xbox 360's compact design that has caused insufficient air flow to cool the console down making it overheat and malfunction when users are playing games. Normally when a problem occurs on your xbox 360 you'll see three red lights appear on the console. This means that one of the components is loose and needs soldiering or that you console is overheating and as a result has shut down or freeze. This is no fault of the gamer but more the fault of the design of the Xbox 360 due to its compact nature which prevents it from receiving sufficient cool air flow to run through the system to keep the temperature to a safe level for it to operate to its maximum.
Getting one of these errors can be very frustrating and costly especially if your warranty has expired. There are two ways to approach this - you can send it away to Microsoft and pay the 140 to get it fixed but the catch is you'll have to wait 4 -6 weeks to get it back and that really stinks if you're impatient. Secondly you can do it yourself and find a good guide that can teach you from scratch how to fix common Xbox 360 problems.
There are plenty of xbox 360 repair guides on the net that can help you start any xbox 360 repair like the 3 red light error or Red ring of death and any other error that you might come across like freezing , overheating, even how to fix a broken disc tray!
