Writing Work - Can You Really Find Writing Jobs Online?
Print This Article Ezine Publisher Send To Friends Add To Favorites Post A Comment Suggest Topic Report Author

With millions of webpages being created every day, someone has to write them. So yes indeed, you can find writing jobs online. Here are two tips which will help you.

1. Most Writing Jobs Are Never Advertised

The best way to get writing jobs is to have people approach you to write for them.

Most writing jobs are never advertised, because business people just don't have the time to go through the process of posting advertisements and then reading hundreds of applications -- they know that most of the applications they receive will be totally inappropriate.

Therefore, buyers of writing services find their writers either via word of mouth, or when they see a writer's advertisement and respond to it.

This means that in order to get all the writing work you can handle, you need to be proactive in promoting yourself and in contacting the people who can hire you.

Start by using your own social network. Tell everyone you know that you're looking for writing work. You should also announce it on the social networking sites, and on your own website or blog. The more people who know that you're actively looking, the more interest you'll get.

Here's a big tip: buyers of your writing services hate looking for writers. Therefore, once you've written for someone, you will be able to write for them again: most businesses need writing services at least three or four times throughout the year. So stay in touch with your clients.

2. Focus on Writing Your Blog: It's Your Best Advertisement

Do you have a blog? If you don't, create one today. It's a wonderful advertisement for your writing services, because it shows your writing abilities.

Ensure that you announce on your blog that you're looking for writing jobs. If you're totally new, you won't to get jobs instantly from your blog.

You need to promote your blog, so that you get traffic. Keep writing. Every word you write is an advertisement for your services.
