Let me begin by saying that I am a newbie to the network marketing world as well. I began my quest about a year ago and have been gaining momentum ever since. I have found many sites that are full of helpful information and others that were full of fluff just trying to sell a product. I have learn three important points in my quest to generate a full time income on a part time basis.
1. There is no such thing as a get rich quick product. To make money online there is definitely a learning curve and time and effort is involved. This doesn't mean that you have to spend thousands of dollars on useless products and offers to find the answers. You just need to be smart about who you listen to when it comes to marketing training. Be a judge of character and determine if that person who is pushing a product has you in mind or just the product. Try to find testimonials of people that were helped in some why by the product. You can find many independent review websites to help with that.
2. Don't Quit! Keep researching and learning about the best way to market online. There are so many ways to develop an online business and you just need to determine which fits you the best. From blogging to affiliate products, posting product reviews and writing articles. Match your online business with the talents that you have and what your most comfortable with.
3. Find a mentor whether on or offline. There are many gurus out there that promise to bring you success but not all have your best interest in mind. Follow the same process as in point number one about judging the character of the person your working with. Does he care about your success or just about his own? Many will promise you big bucks but again can they back it up? Do they have successful students willing to testify to that? You may want to even chat with some of the students personally and get feedback directly from them. Don't just follow the money, follow your instincts about that person instead.
The process of success is not always simple but if you follow the guidelines laid out for you above, you will have a better change at being successful and actually making money which I hope would be your goal.
