Women's Snowboard Jackets

The great thing about women's snowboard jackets is how the manufacturers have successfully married style and fashion with functionality. These are serious jackets with the waterproofing and breathability ratings to prove it yet look fantastic. It's obvious a lot of thought has gone into making them for the fashion conscious.

The prices of snowboard jackets for women will really depend how much of a 'serious' jacket you need. They are rated in 3 main ways - how waterproof they are, their breathability and in their insulation. Through these ratings it's very clear to see the quality of the jacket you're buying and the weather conditions it will be suitable for.

You'll find a lot of snowboarding jackets rated around 10,000 for waterproofing and the same for breathability while for insulation you can go for 100g around the body and 60g over the arms. Another common feature is to have the seams contoured meaning that the weaker parts of the jacket i.e. the seams are reinforced to ensure the weather and snow powder stay out!

The materials used in the insulation are often polyester and they help enormously in trapping warmth so you can stay dry and comfortable all day long. Many women's snowboard jackets also have modern design features such as D rings to keep your lift pass safe and hidden sound pockets to house your MP3 player.

There are a wide range of brands, styles, colours and designs to choose from in this area of snowboarding fashion so have fun! What normally classes a women's snowboard jacket is the way in which it's designed to accentuate and hug the body especially around the waist where you'll normally find the jacket is tapered.
