Do you struggle to keep a good relationship with your email mailing list? Are your subscribers not as active as you would like? Or are they less willing to spend money with you than you would appreciate? There's a good reason for this. You're probably not emailing them often enough! Even if you are sending them emails, you're probably not emailing them with the right content. This can be a big problem in creating a long term list that will be profitable for you. In this article I'm going to explore the reasons why you should be emailing your list regularly, in fact, you should really be emailing them every single day without fail.
First of all, your list needs to know who you are. If they don't know who you are, they won't open your emails. Even worse, if they don't know who you are they might end up reporting you as having sent them spam. This can be the case even where you've tried hard to build a double optin list and made sure that everyone has agreed to receive your email. You need to avoid that situation and make sure that people expect to receive an email and look forward to opening it.
Second, if you're not sending emails, you're denying yourself the chance to make sales and money. Not everyone will open your emails every day. Despite their best efforts, people are just too busy and they tend to regard emails more than a few hours old as being less important. That means if they don't open the emails at the time you send them, they'll probably never open them at all. So, by mailing multiple times you're giving yourself the best chance to get emails opened and links clicked on. By all means, mail about the same promotion more than once. Just make sure that you vary the text of the emails that you send.
Third, if you don't mail every day, you're missing the chance to get your personality across to your list. Generally, people buy more from the marketers that they like and who have a personality. You need to include interesting snippets and helpful suggestions in your emails. You never want to base them purely around sales. Sending a daily email gives you the best chance to do this.
I highly recommend that you email your list every single day. This doesn't mean that you have to physically sit by the keyboard to send these emails. You can take advantage of your autoresponder's ability to preschedule messages. Sometimes it's useful to queue up a whole week of messages at once. Make sure that you and your personality is known to your readers and that you are making regular offers. This will give you a viable long term strategy for list mailing.
