Why You Should Give Zumba a Try Today!

As a Zumba instructor I am actively promoting my classes. A good majority of people that I meet tell me that they have heard of Zumba and always wanted to try it. Some of them do and some people seem to hold back. If you are even thinking about it here are some reasons why you should give it a try!

  • The class format is more than exercise, it is a party. You will enjoy moving to intoxicating music with the motive of making you have fun. It will not even feel like you are working out. If you ever went out dancing at a party, danced for hours and lost track of time then you know the feeling. People tell me it is like going out to a club but without the alcohol.
  • It is physically good for you. You can burn 500-800 calories an hour and tone every muscle in your body.
  • It benefits your mind and spirit. Taking a Zumba class makes you happy, relieves stress and allows you to forget your troubles.
  • It is like getting free dance lessons. Zumba teaches basic steps in a variety of dance styles such as salsa, merengue, hip-hop and bellydance. After a few classes you will have acquired a new skill.
  • Your self-confidence will increase. This class will loosen you up, increase your self-esteem and make you feel sexier.
  • Attending class is a great social outlet. You will see the same people every week and develop friendships.

If you have been wanting to take a Zumba class but have not yet, the only thing that may be preventing you is fear. Remember that you do not have to keep up with the rest of the class. Just do whatever you feel comfortable doing. You will get better at it each time that you attend.
