You may need concrete work done because you have some damage on your concrete patio or driveway. The damage that most people see is water damage. The water causes cracks in the concrete which can be unsightly and may even be hazardous depending on their size and whether or not the ground underneath one side of the crack has settled more than the other side. An example of this is if you have to tear up your existing sidewalk to get to waterlines or other cables that run underneath it. If this happens then most cities will require you to replace the sidewalk or they will charge you to have it done by someone they choose. It is always better if you hire someone yourself rather than to let the city do this for you. You will find that if they city hires someone to help you it will cost you a great deal more than if you had hired someone to do the work yourself. The walking path, however, is usually something people choose to do in order to improve the look of their place.
