Do men cheat as much as a woman or do they do it more than a woman? If you were to ask me why do men lie about cheating, I would think there is only a reason. They knew this is an unfaithful act and it can get more complicated than what we thought. What would be the consequences that they have to face when the truth is out? Well, it can be terrifying.

These could be the obvious reasons why men do lie about cheating.

- They want to continue the affair
Even if the woman has been suspecting on the affair, the man may just lie because they want to continue the affair and they will only admit to the affair when they are caught in the act by the female spouse. The feeling is just like enjoying the best of both women at home and outside.

- Self protection
Men lie about cheating because they are too worried that you will leave them when you knew the affair. The theoretical is almost the same like stealing fruit outside but yet lying through his teeth that he did not steal. I think this is a contradicting issue for both men and women because even fearing about losing their greatest love, many people are still doing it.

- Avoiding your confrontation
How will you react when you found out his affair? Most of the women will just confront and fight to the end.

- Protecting his Mr nice guy image
Another reason why men do lie about cheating would be his good image as a nice guy. He has been playing the role of a good husband, good father or the so-called Mr Nice Guy that everybody has been saying. How would your family members, children or friends look at him when they knew he has been cheating on you?
