Not that long ago I was sitting down to have some lunch at a small cafe not far from my condominium. This is a place that is located within the vicinity of a few different corporate parks. I often overhear people talking about how much they dislike their jobs while they have lunch. It really got me wondering: why are you making as much money as you like as an e-book publisher? I'm convinced that you've probably heard of e-books and that you know at least one or two people who are making money with them. So the question remains, why are you not making any money with e-books? Let's talk about this.

There are two basic reasons why the overwhelming majority of people who have heard about e-books have never actually made any money with them. The first reason is because they have yet to get around to publishing and distributing their first e-book. I'm not kidding -- you would be amazed by the number of people who have all these ideas in their head about how they are going to start an e-book publishing business yet they never get around to actually publishing her first that first e-book. The second reason is because they'd never really come up with a clearly defined goal of what they want to accomplish as an e-book publisher. This is extremely problematic because without a clear goal you have a tendency to drift from one thing to another.

So why aren't you making as much money as you'd like with e-books, and more importantly, what do you plan to do about it?
