Origins of the love
Since hundreds of years, Arabian Horses are loved by people all over the world. Arabs were the first to love them and protect them, sometimes more than their own children. How did this love begin?
Arabs believed that Ishmael, the eldest son of Abraham, was the first to ride horses. This belief is based on the following story.
When Abraham and Ishmael finished building the Kaaba, as God told them to do, He told them: I will give you a treasure that I saved for you. Then He told Ishmael: Go out to Mount Ajyad, and pray to God, and the treasure will come to you. So, Ishmael went out to Mount Ajyad, not knowing what is the prayer and what is the treasure. When he went there, God told him what the prayer is. Once Ishmael said the prayer, all horses came out and went to him, and allowed their backs to Ishmael to ride them, as the first person to ride horses.
And, because Ishmael is the Father of Arabs, then those treasure horses were called, Arabian Horses.
End of the story.
