On the hip is our best target... to save cash. How much money are you wasting each month using the telephone on an "old-school" network? Most of us are too slow keeping up with value trends today.
Let's think about what can be done now. Jobs have been lost and more of us are seeking cost savings in business and at home. Where are the savings? Actually, there are savings lurking at every corner waiting to be discovered. Stop wasting your cash on outdated systems when newer ones are available.
First, awareness and understanding VoIP technology is a valuable beginning to cost savings. More and more of us are getting the message about cutting phone expenses and using the latest available systems. Few of us can afford to throw money down the proverbial rat-hole forever.
Unfortunately, there are still too many adults unaware of how to use the Internet fully and economically. It's our youth who demand the best and latest regardless of the cost. Being on the cutting edge is cool and there's a wonderful feeling when you know you've got the latest and the best technology.
Yes, there are perceived issues with VoIP technology. For some older folks, it's just not worth switching their phones. Landlines are familiar and comfortable, so why change is the usual question. Never let your age dictate bad choices when obvious changes should be made with your phone system.
Most of us have mobile phones in our pocket or on the hip as part of our dress code. From our children to Sr. Citizens in the family it seems everyone has or wants a cell phone. One of those "status" symbols of belonging rather than being out of the loop.
Typical users of VoIP technology are better educated, have more money, are youthful in their decisive actions, and technically savvy. Most have used the internet for a long time. For some reason, reports or surveys indicate that women seem more reluctant to make the change but the tide is quickly moving inside.
College students are prime candidates to use VoIP technology because most have a computer in their dorm rooms with broadband which is the needed connector for unlimited calling at lower rates.
Obviously, Mom and Dad like the reduced expenses to stay in touch with their family members in college. One of those "common-sense" decisions.
