An internet marketer is a person who markets products or services, tangible goods ( i.e. toasters, books, furniture etc.) or intangible goods (i.e. information products) to customers via the world wide web or internet. Marketing is defined as the process of creating interest in a product or service including identifying customers and their needs, as well as fulfilling those needs with your product or service.
A basic example of marketing is a television commercial. The commercial introduces a problem that is common to the target audience (gray hair, bulging waistline, lack of excitement, etc.). The advertiser then provides the solution to that problem by showing at least one benefit of his particular product (younger looking skin or hair, an attractive, thin body, the thrill of a lifetime, etc.)
Internet marketing at its most basic form follows the same principles. First locate a market with a definite problem or need that is not being filled adequately by current products. Once the problem is identified, provide the solution by giving the benefits of your product. Fulfill the need by supplying your product to the customer, and you have successfully marketed your product.
So basically the formula is as follows:
- Identify a group of people with a common problem.
- Give the benefits that your product supplies;
- Sell or give them the solution (your product or service).
- Repeat.
All of this is completed without any personal one on one contact, scheduled meetings, sales calls or physical contact. It is all accomplished on the internet via the doorway of the computer that sits on the marketer's desk or lap.
This marketing process allows the average person to create an income in a short amount of time from his/her home or office in their spare time or full time. It also allows the average person to have a potential audience of millions without having to leave home or family.
Internet marketing is the indeed the best "job" available today.
