Freedom for me is the ability to do whatever whenever. I would like to take a vacation anytime and not have finances or my boss dictate when I can take one. I may have the money but my vacation my not get approved because there is no one to cover for me or there are people with more seniority and get their vacations approved first. I have missed out on various functions or just having fun with my friends just because I did not get my time off approved.
Freedom is being able to spend time with my family and friends and not having to worry about waking up early to go to work and so have to cut the time short.
Freedom is going on vacation and not feeling bad as it winds down as reality hits you that you have a real life and a job for much you don't like but it pays the bills and feeds the family but would quit at the first chance of an opportunity to know you will be ok without that job.
For most of us its winning the lottery but how does it feel when you think today could be the day but when those numbers fall you are back to reality just to do it all over again on the next drawing but this time you get a free ticket or your two dollars back.
It hit me that the only way to take control is to be the boss. It takes some time and patience but with a clear goal in mind (freedom) it is worth it.
