What is Deep Pacific Omega 3?

Expert Author Audrey Alexander

Most of us are aware of Omega 3 and its benefits to people's health such as better brain development, healthier heart, relief from joint and muscular pains, and higher intelligence, among many others. But if you make mention of the words, "deep pacific Omega 3," some people will be scratching their heads in confusion, since many are not yet familiar with this.

As the name implies, deep pacific Omega 3 fatty acids are from fish that swim in the deep waters of the Pacific Ocean.

Experts claim that fish that come from the deepest parts of the Pacific are richest in Omega 3, primarily because they only feed on plankton. In other words, the fullest benefits of fish oils can be found in this particular type of Omega 3 fatty acids.

Two species of fish have been found to provide deep pacific Omega 3 fatty acids and these are hoki and tuna.

Hoki is a kind of fish that belongs in the hake family. It is commonly found off the coasts of Australia and New Zealand. Hoki is also known by other names such as blue hake, whiptails, blue grenadiers, and New Zealand whiting. Its dense white flesh is especially rich in Omega 3 fatty acids.

Tuna, on the other hand, is from the Scombridae family. It is known for its speed of 70 kilometers per hour. While most fish have white flesh, tuna is popular for having pink to dark red muscle tissue. Like hoki, tuna is also very rich in Omega 3 fatty acids.

Supplements that make use of fish oil that come from these two fish sources have double anti-inflammatory potency. This means that the deep pacific Omega 3 is more effective and potent than regular fish oils. This is because deep pacific Omega 3 contains higher amounts of fatty acids.

Aside from having higher levels of fatty acids, deep fish are also safer because they have lower levels of toxicity.

Toxic waste dumped by industrial factories in the ocean waters contaminates underwater life including fish. Fish oils from contaminated areas have been found to have high levels of toxins such as lead, mercury, arsenic, and PCBs. Fish that come from deep waters are barely affected by these industrial toxins, and are therefore safer than most other fish.

But of course, just because they have lower levels of toxicity does not mean you can be lax when making a choice on the deep pacific Omega 3 supplements that you are going to buy.

You still have to exercise prudence in making your selection to ensure that you only get one that has undergone extensive purification and distillation. This way, you can have supplements that are completely free from impurities.

Deep pacific Omega 3 is the best choice if you are looking for a fish oil supplement that gives high concentration of Omega 3 fatty acids and at the same time, assures lower level of toxicity.

With so many available choices on the market, be careful when making a purchase. See to it that you choose one that has undergone extensive molecular distillation and purification.
