What Is The Most Important Golf Club In Your Bag?
Print This Article Ezine Publisher Send To Friends Add To Favorites Post A Comment Suggest Topic Report Author

Do you consider your Driver the most important club in your bag? You definitely can hit is further than any of your other clubs. Does this make it the most important club?

Is one of your irons the most important club in your golf bag? Maybe because you hit this club after your driver to get the ball on the green. Does that make it the most important club in your bag?

The most important golf club you own, carry, or could ever purchase is your PUTTER. Yes, your putter is the most important club in your bag. Read on to discover 3 reasons why the Putter is the most important golf club you carry.

The first reason your putter is your most important tool is because it can cost you or save you the most strokes on the course. Your driver is only pulled out of your bag, at most, once per hole. That does not even include the par 3s that you will never use a driver on. Your irons might be hit 3 to 5 times per round each so you cannot do much to cut many strokes with either your driver or your irons.

Your putter will be used one to three time on almost every hole, unless you missed with your iron shot and hit a chip into the hole. Therefore if you want to cut strokes from your golf handicap you would want to start with the putter.

The second reason your putter is your most important club is because it can win you golf games and lost you golf games. Take a look at the leader boards of any tournament and you will find that the players on the lower part of the leader board struggled with their putting.

This is almost always the case and usually it is a lack of confidence in their putting abilities for the day. Maybe they did not spend enough time warming up their puts and they might not have taken the time to learn the speed of the greens for the day.

The last reason your putter is the most important club in your bag is because without it you cannot score. If you get rid of your putter, then you will have a lot of trouble putting the golf ball in the hole. It would be very difficult to chip in on every single hole.

So as you can see your Putter is the most important golf club in your bag and you need to treat it as so. If you are looking to cut strokes from your game, then you need to start with your putting.
