The Internet Business phenomenon is all about the ease of making money, flexible hours and freedom by conducting business on the Net. You have thought about it, maybe even dreamed of having wealth and financial freedom, wanting to be part of the many who are profiting from the Internet, but you hold back.

Attending seminars and workshops provide you with various amounts of information and guidance. Courses offered by the experts in the field of making money from the Internet, pass on their experience and knowledge on starting and running their Internet Business. They give you the knowledge and understanding for running an Internet Business, and how to do it. But still you do not go ahead and start. Why?

It all goes back to this preconceived blueprint that has been ingrained upon us since childhood. Our grandparents, parents, relatives and friends all believe that the only way to make money is through working hard and getting a good career job, in order to earn a good living. They believe this to be true that, it is the normal way, all you need is to get a good education so you can get a good job at the end of your schooling. Now to venture out and do something entirely different does not fit our blueprint. We long for financial freedom. Our parents may even have longed for it but it never happened but now it can through the internet, but getting started is the hardest part.

However, we come up with all kinds of excuses, like:

• I have work commitments,

• I am busy at work, putting in long hours

• No possible way I could put in the time to start an Internet business

• It will have to wait until work slows a bit and I have free time.

• It is school holidays and I promised the family we would go to the amusement parks or camping or whatever, will start after the holidays.

• Its such a great day outside must take advantage of this good weather as it is usually wet, cold and miserable, will start tomorrow.

• I just want to read up on this guy's strategies, he is an expert and so many people have said it is worth reading or listen to this guy's video, or attend so and so seminar because I want to really understand before starting.

Talking to family or friends may be discouraging as they do not understand how this whole Internet Business works. They are not interested to learn so try to persuade you not to try or are not very enthusiastic for you to start. They want the security of having a regular paycheque, not risk trying to make money some other way. They think that only the big guys the experts are the ones who are making a success or good living using the internet. You might even talk to someone who has tried it for themselves and not been too successful. They spent a lot of time and money getting their site up and running but that's it. Nothing happened afterwards. But is it because they really did not want it to be successful so did not apply themselves?

Deep down we really do not want to succeed we expect to fail. We do not believe in ourselves because we have our preconceived blueprint.

Break out of the mould take that first step. Here is something that you can do that is relatively risk free and will cost you nothing to start. You can get started and you do not even have to tell anyone you are doing this. You do it at your own pace and you do not even have to come up with a product or service to sell. You can start making money on the Internet by becoming an affiliate. Enjoy the lifestyle and freedom that many others have discovered through this.

Affilitate Marketing is a beginners dream. However, you don't necessarily have to be a novice to take this up, numerous experts use this method for their own Internet Business and they are making excellent returns. Being an affiliate is easy and costs you nothing as someone else has done all the work. They already have a product or service to sell, in fact they may already be selling it, and will let you sell it or promote it for them and you get paid a commission to do this.

You promote the product or service and for every customer who buys through you, as an affiliate, you get paid a percentage of the price of the product or service. Now you may not get very much for these, it of course depends on the product and commission but it's a way to get started. Find an affiliate product you would like to promote, learn how and what is needed to promote this product or service to make the commission. Then you can add another and another, it slowly builds up giving you some extra cash that you wouldn't otherwise have.

Once you start it gets the juices flowing, you will want to jump in with both feet. Start with one project first rather than trying to do to many, get the first one right before moving on. It can be frustrating at first but the reward is in patience.
