Well Brecon is a fantastic site if you want to learn about England's past. Here you can find also the Brecon Beacons National Park. A fabulous setting that still holds tons of Georgian architecture in the buildings that still stand from days of old.

There is the Cathedral that was built back during the 12th century. Plus you have the South Wales Borderers Military Museum that should be visited. Along with the Brecknock Museum that also houses an art gallery.

With many choices of places where you can eat and enjoy the stay. Plus each month in town you can take part in the farmers market. Prices are always affordable for people who want to buy something from the area.

Plus you have many specialized foods and organic food places that you can seek out while in this location. Also for exercise take a bike ride and head off to the Taff Trail cycle path. While in town you can either visit the theatre, or cinema.

Many pubs and restaurants are there for you to enjoy some of the local foods. Don't forget to shop in one of the many shops that are in the area as well. While other things that are close enough to travel to while staying here include some of the following attractions.

Tretower Court and Castle is less than ten miles, while you can enjoy a trip on the Brecon Mountain Railway that is a bit over ten miles.

The Brecon Castle is a fantastic view and a place that many pictures should be taken of. Don't forget to tour the castle too and see what it was like to live back during those times. It's a castle that was built by the Normans and most of it still stands.
