Further, metallic parts will rust very quickly if they are situated in an excessively damp condition. Remember, water or flow of water does not cause as many problems as stagnating condensation does.
Wet conditions can be managed but damp conditions will be very difficult to manage, especially in case of electronic devices. From a perpetual sticky layer of water on the surface to short circuits-the problems that result may range from minor to major.
