Weight Gain and How You Can Prevent It

Now if you've stumbled across this article then you may be looking for tips on how to lose it. Well this won't extensively go over how to lose weight but first, we should discuss WHY people may become over weight, and how to prevent it before it gets any worse and you start gaining more weight. Look at these main points here and see if you can identify what category you may or may not fall under, and this will be your first step:

-Lack of exercise
Hands down, this is probably one of the highest contributors to becoming overweight. If you do not exercise, there's no way for your body to actually rid itself of the fat/carbs you eat during your meals on a day to day basis.

-Poor diet
This is also a huge contributor to weight gain. Eating a cheeseburger every day will NOT help you lose weight, no matter how good they may taste. I know, it's hard not to eat a burger, because I myself am I burger lover, but sometimes they're just full of grease and it's something I'd rather not eat because of all that unhealthy junk! I recommend looking at your diet over about a week or so and looking over the content of it and stop eating things that are high in fat (Like chips)

-Genes
Yes, it's possible. If there's a bunch of over weight people in your family, then you just might become over weight too. That doesn't mean you WILL be over weight when you grow up or grow old, it just means you might have a harder time losing fat that you gain, but as I mentioned, that does NOT mean that it's impossible for you to lose weight, it just means that you'll have a harder time losing weight that you may gain.

-Depression
Now, I hope, hope, hope, HOPE, that this isn't the reason for weight gain. But research shows that people who are depressed sometimes eat a lot to fill in a gap that they feel might be missing. So try to maintain and stay 'up beat', try to occupy yourself with other activities to keep yourself busy so you don't think about eating or something like that.
