Website setup is your first step. Website creation is your second step, but first you need three main components to get a website live to the internet. I will explain the three main components and show you how simple it is to setup and create a website, even if you are a beginner.
I will start with the three main components it takes for the website creation process to begin.
- Domain name ( website setup process )
- Website hosting ( website setup process )
- Web page editor ( website creation process )
A domain name is your websites on line address such as Your Domain.com,.net,.org, Etc.. When you register a domain name, it can be a challenging process, but overall very simple to do. Make sure to use a relevant topic to your business or niche and everything will fall into place. When choosing a domain name keep it as short as possible, easy to remember, and try not to use hyphens.
If you have to use hyphens to break up your domain name (to make it available) it is OK, but try to be as relevant as possible with your domain name. You do not want to register a domain related to bicycle parts and your website is about car parts. Those are two different things not relevant at all.
Web hosting is how you get your website live to the internet. Picking the right web host is very important. depending on the kind of web page / website you want such as (informational, e-commerce, affiliate, blog, etc.) To make it simple keep your domain, web page editor, and web hosting with the same service provider. If not you will have to point your domain name and website files to your web host provider. Spend your time learning how to build your website, not learning all the technical stuff., that will come later. I like to make it as simple as possible and keep all three services from the same provider. That way you have a full control of your settings at one place.
A web page editor ( usually provided with your web host ) This is what you will use to create, maintain, and update your website. You do not only create your website with a web page editor you also, update and maintain your website with it. Whether you want a simple web page or a full website the creation process is the same. You just got to choose how many pages you want to create. A website is just different web pages linked together.
If you know HTML and CSS you can generate the layout and style of your website. If you do not know HTML and CSS you want to pick a template that is already created for you. Then you edit the template to your business needs and have a website live in minutes "very simple to do".
There is more detail when you setup and create a website, but I could not even come close to fit it all on one article. so I created a website on how to build a website with more detail.
