What is an autoresponder?

Basically an autoresponder collects email addresses of visitors to your website by way of an "opt-in" form. Once the visitor has given you their email address they become your prospect or lead and you then have their permission to send them automated messages from your autoresponder.

The importance of an autoresponder cannot be underestimated.

  • In return for the visitor giving you their email address and becoming a member of your list, you offer a free report or eBook. It must be something something of value to your prospect.
  • Once your autoresponder has collected this prospects email address it will automatically begin emailing your prospect emails previously written by yourself.
  • These email messages will build a relationship with your prospect.
