It is amazing to me that we keep rewarding people for being unemployed, that we keep paying people for not working, and that through our political correctness we keep rewarding weakness. It seems we have an administration that has the American taxpayer's checkbook in their hands, and they are willing to spend it every time there is a fire to put out. This isn't working.
We really do not need another shot of Stimulus in our fruit punch, we really do not need to keep giving people fishes, we need to teach people to fish, teach people to be responsible, teach people hard work ethic, and explain to them that life is tough, and they're going to have to deal with it. For our government leadership to promise that they will make everything just right, and fix all the problems in the world is complete nonsense. And someone needs to wake all of these voters up from there the false reality and dream.
Further, what we need to do is to stop attacking our small businesses and treating them like a red-headed stepchild. In fact, I hear a lot of talk that our small businesses are the backbone of our economy. But that's just talk, they don't really believe it. And we can tell by their actions. In fact, not long ago, President Obama said that it was pure partisan politics that the Republicans stopped a bill which would "give aid" to small businesses.
Our small businesses do not need a handout, they do not need aid, we do not need to make them weak like we have the rest of our economy. What government needs to do is to get out of the way, and help reduce regulations, and allow our small businesses to succeed. For the federal government to say that they will free up loans, to help small businesses borrow more money to recapitalize their businesses is silly.
Why would any small business person in this climate of uncertainty, with an administration that keeps making more rules, more regulations, and life tough on their small businesses want to go into more debt and borrow more money? Remember if a small business man borrows money they have to pay it back, and if they don't they go out of business and lose everything.
On the other hand, if a large Corporation fails to make a profit, the government will bail them out. You see, the problem is we have our priorities all screwed up, and I fear that the administration doesn't have a clue as to how our economy works, why it works, or how capitalism has made us great.
