Ways to Naturally Reduce Our Risk of Cancer

Exercise and breaking a sweat can really help reduce our risk of cancer. Not being active enough can increase our estrogen levels making us more at risk for breast cancer and it can also mess with our insulin levels causing all sorts of unhealthy problems and cause bad cells to line the colon and other organs faster. It is important that we try to get at least thirty minutes of exercise five days a week for good over health and to reduce our cancer risk. You can do this by hiking, biking, walking, and walking your dog or a friend's or other activities that keep you moving.

It is also a good idea to limit how much alcohol you have per day because even one glass can increase your risk of breast and oral cancers as well as many others. Another recommendation most of us have heard about is to quit smoking. While this may seem obvious and repetitive, smoking really does increase your risk for many cancers such as lung, oral cancers, throat cancers, and it also causes problems for your kidneys, bladder, cervix, colon, and even your bones. It is a good idea to avoid smoking at all, or quit now.

It is also suggested to limit eating red meat as it can harm the colon and other organs and make your risk for cancer higher. Eating the burnt parts on food can also make your risk higher so try to avoid this when possible. Finally, it is important to find ways to distress and not let yourself get so anxious. Having a positive attitude may help to fight off cancer and reduce your risk.

So you may be thinking, that this is all obvious and common sense, but many of us unfortunately neglect the simple and natural things we can do to keep us healthy. It is important that we watch what we eat and remember to stay active and limit bad habits. It can really help to save our lives in the future.
