Printer cartridges are very expensive especially the colored ones. Replacing them from time to time will not be helpful and practical for you because you will be spending a lot since black and white cartridge's price is different from the colored ones. Making your ink lasts longer especially the colored one will help you a lot epically with your budget. Here are some helpful ways for you to do it:

#1 Open your computer and click on preferences, when you print, there will be a box prompt that will appear, you need to choose on draft instead of normal or best, this way you will be able to minimize the use of much ink whenever you are printing.

#2 Clicking the advance tab will help you print only black and grey whenever you are not printing colored objects or if you opt to make them black or grey. This is helpful in saving on your colored ink.

#3 When you type, don't use thicker fonts since it consumes more ink than the usual font.

#4 You should remove your colored cartridge when you don't intend to use them; this is best and most helpful if you will only print black and white in bulk.
