Want to Lose Weight? Here Are 5 Exercises That Will Burn Lots of Fat and Calories

Expert Author Roy Gol

I gave you 3 cool exercises you can do at home in my yesterday post. I thought I'd use some blunt lingo in there just to have fun, no offense anybody. Today I'd like to add another 5 exercises to that list of exercises you can do AT HOME without going to the gym.

OK let me rephrase that, Exercises you can do at home or around your house to lose weight.

  1. Wind sprints. Pick a very windy day and sprint against the direction of the wind. By doing that you activate a large range of muscles all at once, and if you are following me on here you know that the more muscles you activate at once the more fat and calories your body burns. Best place to perform these sprints is a park near your home. Running on concrete is not good for your bones, running on grass is better because it is hard enough surface yet not too concrete like to ruin your bones. Sprints should be in distances of 50 or 100 yards, and anywhere between 6-20 sprints is good to get results. Do this exercise every second day.
  2. Staircase sprint. Every rugby field has lots of stairs you can perform that sprint. Every hotel or motel or if you live in an apartment block you would have a set of staircase to sprint up. It will strengthen your knees and thighs and will add to your fat loss efforts. your recovery period is when you step down to the bottom floor. If you can sprint up 10 floors at least 3 times you are in good shape.
  3. Frog jumps. Yesterday I posted an article about 3 exercises you can do at home to lose weight and one of them was mountain climbers. Frog jumps is similar, you go down to a pushup position and bring both your feet under your chest in a jumping motion...like a frog. Then you wait for a beautiful princess to kiss you and you turn into a prince. No really, this exercise is a killer, I do not know how many you can do but 10 reps is fine, you will feel that in your abs!
  4. Pushups variations. Pushups can be done on the normal position, with your logs raised 10 inch above the floor, legs raised 20 inch above the floor, and with arms close together. You choose what level you want to go for according to how much you trained already. Pushups are a great fat burner.
  5. Swimming. Swimming is a great full body workout that stresses the muscles and joints in a much different way than most resistance training. A good practice is having one day a week going swimming as it will enhance your over all physique. As with all other exercises swimming has to be based on burst of excursion so sprint swimming is the one you want to look at. Any style is fine although I fancy free style more than others, as it is best for back strengthening.

5 exercises plus the 3 I gave you Yesterday will give you results in no time if you keep doing them every second or third day. Post any questions or comments below this article, I am checking any comments daily and replies to them. You could also bookmark this to your favorite bookmarking tool.
