Water From the Waist Or Behind the Back - Which is More Practical?
Print This Article Ezine Publisher Send To Friends Add To Favorites Post A Comment Suggest Topic Report Author

Packs that attach to the waist or hang off your back are made to provide water during active sporting situations. If you are a serious athlete or weekend warrior, you need to protect yourself from becoming dehydrated during physical activities. It does not matter if you run, climb, bike or trek out into the frozen ice, with your ice fishing pole, you need access to water and these units are becoming more popular compared to bringing water bottles.

The difference between a hydration pack for the waist or back really comes down to comfort and preference of access. Most packs hold from 1-2 liters of water. Waist packs do hang lower on the body which provides a lower center of gravity during a run or other activity. With pockets and an easy way to load up, the waist hydration pack provides a good fit for long distance runners and walkers.

Hydration packs attach behind the pack with the exit hose easily accessible over the shoulder. The backpack version is extremely comfortable because of its contour shape designed to fit snugly across the back. Straps can be tightened comfortably to prevent the unit from shifting back and forth or up and down. This is important during extreme physical activity like long distance running. Some have even used this product for marching band members since it gives them access to water with little effort and minimal view of the access tube.

All in all, whether you choose a fanny pack for the waist or one that fits across your back, you will stay hydrated better during your sporting activities.

Forget the clunky bottle Hydration Packs are easier to deal with while on the run.

Do not let Thirst get in the way of your run, walk or skiing experience! A Hydration pack will keep you on the move and comfortable!
