Viral Marketing - Why eBooks Should Be at the Center of Your Viral Marketing Strategy

Viral marketing takes little or no marketing budget but can outperform expensive ad campaigns if done correctly. The results are not always linear but are often surprising once your campaign picks up momentum. This article focuses on why e-books should be the core component of your viral marketing campaign.

If you do not know anything about viral marketing, a quick primer is in order. In viral marketing you do not directly attempt to market to your target audience as a whole. Rather, you distribute a branded product to a small group of recipients and give them carte blance to redistribute it to their family or friends. Make sure that the e-book contains your brand and that it is clear that the recipients have full distribution rights.

In addition to valuable content, humor is particularly effective. If your e-book has people laughing they will want to share the joke with family and friends. The more people share your e-book, the more successful your viral marketing campaign will be.
