It's been said that a picture paints a thousand words. If that is true, then a video paints a million words.

And video builds relationships with the viewers to your website or blog.

Text can build relationships, but it is limited. Audio can build relationships, but it too is limited.

Video builds relationships much more powerfully than in text and audio. For example, just about every day I will get an email or phone call from a prospective customer or client, and they will introduce themselves by saying "I met you on your web site." At conferences people will come up to me and say the exact same thing

"I met you on your blog and I feel like I know you already."

That is a powerful experience for the visitor to a website.

If I say I am great and can help your business, that can come across as arrogant. If someone else says I am great and can help your business, that is called a testimonial and is much more easily accepted.

When you read a testimonial on a website or blog, don't you sometimes think "Well yeah, but any one could have made that up and put it in print." The skepticism is heavy in this case.

You could add a picture next to the written testimonial and that ups the believability somewhat, but the skepticism is still present.

Now, take that same testimonial and turn it into a video testimonial and the skepticism is washed away. You can't fake a video testimonial.

One of the biggest benefits of using video in your internet marketing is video rapidly increases the know, like and trust factor. Know, like and trust is the basis of building trust with prospects and customers. And your prospects will do business with those whom they know, like and trust.
