Utterly Insane Core Strength Development Explained Here!

Expert Author Brandon Richey

If you are looking to develop a serious set of six pack abs, achieve superior physical strength, and totally dominate your athletic competition then you have got to develop your body through the process of a sound core strengthening workout. Insane core strength development requires more work than just targeting your "abs!" As a matter of fact your "abs" are only a small part of the muscles that make up your core center in the first place. So what is your core?

Insane Core Strength Development!

Well your core is basically your center, otherwise known as the muscles that make up your center of gravity. Specific muscles such as your rectus abdominis, obliques, transversus abdominis, spinal erectors, and hip flexors are just some of the many muscles that consist of your core center. Now without trying to give you a more detailed anatomy lesson you can basically imagine your core by thinking about your torso as being a cylinder. All the muscles around that cylinder both front and back make up your core center. This is your athletic and performance powerhouse!

So how do you develop your athletic powerhouse? Well this is where doing crunches is essentially a waste of time. Doing crunches only stimulates the rectus abdominis (ab muscles) alone and it doesn't really do that very well. In order to develop your core center you have got to work all of the muscles of the cylinder! You see core muscles work on the functional movement and actions of trunk flexion, trunk extension, trunk rotation, and overall trunk stability. Therefore, a truly insane core strengthening workout should mimic the actions that the cylinder is capable of performing! This is where you will develop some seriously insane core strength to help you to run faster, jump higher, squat more weight, and throw around your competition like a sack of potatoes!

Exercises that best help you to initiate and mimic the core actions mentioned are drills such as kettlebell swings, olympic power cleans, russian twists, squat jumps, and kettlebell turkish get ups. These are an array of drills that work all of the necessary functions of your core center. If you are looking to ratchet up your performance and take your fitness to a new level then you have got to train your body in the way that it is meant to be worked! Enough of the machines my friend, start hammering free weights and your own body resistance to get REAL results.
