Print This Article Ezine Publisher Send To Friends Add To Favorites Post A Comment Suggest Topic Report Author

Play Station 2 revolutionizes the gaming consoles by bringing just the best for its customers. From the extended wiring it offers just months ago, a wireless controller comes into existence. These are made available on your nearest gadget shops and other online stores. To get the best deal, read this article and learn a lot.

One of the most popular PS2 accessories today is the wireless controller. Due to its popularity, many manufacturers are taking time to produce them. There are several stores to choose from but the problem is whether these stores offer genuine products. There are hoax and the choice would be critical.

Controllers vary by brand; however, these controllers carry similar features and functions. When buying your first PS2 wireless controllers, check the box and packaging by separating all its parts. It should include a receiver, a controller or some batteries if the manufacturer opted to give some.

The batteries must be installed in the controller already. If there are no batteries, find the brand of the batteries compatible for the controller and buy your own. Many PS2 wireless controllers use triple A or double A batteries. The receiver must be plugged on the PS2's controller input port.

When checking your controller, make sure that your PS2 is turned on. There are PS2 controllers which automatically turn on when connected to the gadget. Other models should be pressed on any buttons and still others have a separate switch. This should be labeled clearly; from this, your PS2 must work just the same as the corded one.

Some of the leading brands of PS2 wireless controllers are Dreamgear at $17.99; Madcatz Microcon at $19.99; Sony at $24. Prices range from the cheapest offer of China which is $15.58 to as high as $65. Features vary like internal glowing LED, custom crackle overpainting, and an advanced multi-directional D-padErgonomic design for the highest comfort.

Aside from this information, the user must know the limitation of wireless controller to help him choose the best among the options. These controllers can communicate either through Bluetooth and infrared and thus have a limited range. There are some controllers however which are powerful and provides more than enough range. Check on the specifications of the model you're buying.

Another issue is the maintenance, specifically battery replacements. This can be a good factor on choosing a brand. You must look for one which consumes battery life longer. Another thing to look at is how your controller powers off. Some might turn off automatically when not in use so as to save battery life; others however must be turned off manually causing the battery to drain continuously.

These buying tips would be most useful if controllers are given a great deal of care. Keeping the contacts and buttons dry and clean is good because dirt can cause poor controlling response and sticking buttons. There are reasonable offers but don't just jump on special treats. Look out for the best quality controllers. This will not only give you great savings but let you enjoy your PS2 more.
