Article writing for the Internet is rapidly becoming a kind of science. The trick to article writing is that you want your article to be found easily by anyone searching for the subject matter. The way that you do this is by using keywords. Keywords are select words or phrases that users will be searching for when using a search engine. For instance, a user searching for a good homemade pancake recipe may search for "making pancakes" or "pancake recipe".
For your article, you want to use your keywords in prominent places where the search engine is going to notice them. For instance, using your keyword in the title is good, as is using your keyword multiple times in the article. You don't want to overuse the keyword, however, as this will make your article difficult to read. You can also include your keyword in subheadings, and in image labeling, if your article will include pictures.
This way, another searching for the keywords in your article is far more likely to come across it in a web search. Articles that are not adapted for search engines, or in other words are not search engine optimized, won't be found as often, or may be found for unrelated searches. If you include your keywords at a good density throughout the article, and put them in prominent places, then your article is much more likely to draw readers, and thus, customers. You can use more than one keyword per article, or you can use several. The point is to keep it simple and something that people will actually be searching for. Using search engine tools, you can find out what exact phrases people are searching for, making it easier to select effective keywords.
