Just like you can tell the difference in walking around the different sides of your house, your lawn can to. Different lawns respond differently to different weathers and different microclimates. Microclimates are a reason for you to blend different types of grasses around your house. You can get different types of grass, plan them on your lawn, and have a beautiful green yard. If you have shady and sunny spots in your yard, you could choose to plant fescues and Kentucky bluegrass. This mixture should blend well together in this particular type of situation. Your situation may be different, which is why you must know the differences in grasses.
