It gives a grill flavor that comes from the coal. Mostly, there are no disadvantages to it. The only thing you can consider as a disadvantage is that it dries the meat out if you over cook it. But this problem can easily be solved if you can smear something on the meat to keep it moist. That is why grilling the best choice when you are cooking your food.

Think of the health benefits; the taste wouldn't be a problem since there are many seasonings and marinades that can help improve the taste that some fast foods and junk foods don't have.
