Two Overhyped Features in a Cell Phone

With the enhancements in technology, the mobile phone has come a long way from being just a device to send and receive voice calls and messages. Today the mobile is used for several activities, but it is not necessarily a device that can replace the device that is generally used for the activity. Here are three overhyped features in a cell phone that you can do without if you do not want to spend a large amount of money.

Camera:

The mobile integrated camera phone became a rage when mobile manufacturers ran out of options about what the next big feature in the phone would be. While some cell phones give a good quality of photographs, there are some so called 'camera integrated mobile phones' that have a 1.3 MP camera. These cameras are the most basic cameras, and you wouldn't even consider uploading the photos you take from them on your social networking profile.

A camera is bad news for the budget buyer because most mobile manufacturers try to skimp on features because they have integrated a camera into the cell phone. So, you might come across a cell phone that has a very good or even a fair camera quality, but not having any other feature to write home about.

Mobile Internet:

Let's be clear about this, Mobile Internet is the next big thing in the market, but the only reason why it is still just the 'next big thing' is because there are few phones that have actually been able to unleash it's true potential - and the price of these phones are sky high. So, unless you use the Internet to download applications for your cell phone, you will not be a great fan of mobile internet. The biggest disadvantage is of course the screen size, which is increasing in some higher end mobiles, but it will take a long time for their prices to come down. Not all sites have their mobile sites up and running, so you might be forced to view a full size website in the small size screen.

These are two of the major overhyped features in a mobile phone. This does not mean that these features are completely useless. But you can definitely give them a miss if you are looking for some budget phones.
