Panic attacks symptoms come at you from out of the blue. Some people can even experience them while sleeping. An instant fear of dying and looming disaster comes over you, and thoughts of having a heart attack race through your mind. There seems to be no apparent influence from what is happening at the moment to back up these thoughts and feelings.
Dizziness, increase in heart rate, terror, numbness, chest pains, sweating, hot or cold flashes, and having a hard time breathing are the most common panic attacks symptoms to accompany panic attacks. The worst of the attack seems to happen at around ten minutes into it.
If you've begun to understand what triggers your attacks, then you can take diversionary action against them. By focusing on deep breathing or and taking your mind off the attack itself, you can enable yourself to skip the attack altogether. Keeping your mind on something relaxing, like your breathing, or a place you've been that relaxes you, can actually help you avoid an attack.
Part of the fear of a panic attack comes from not knowing when they'll flare up, and also from a fear of having one in front of other people. If you have these attacks, it's believed that you also are going to have a more likely chance of suffering from depression as well. But the good news is that your condition is treatable.
Everyone's panic attacks have different triggers, and therefore the treatment differs as well. Panic attacks symptoms need to be learned and recognized early, and then proper action taken to thwart the attacks implemented.
