Training Courses For Newbies - Before You Choose, 7 Considerations

Expert Author C. A. Perez

If you are new to Internet marketing, you are more than likely overwhelmed by the amount of advice, tutorials, and training that is available online and offline. Many claim to have the system that will make you thousands, if not millions of dollars, in less time than it takes to read their sales letter. You can quickly spend a lot of money trying to find the one key to success in Internet marketing. There is no single key to success in Internet marketing. Here are seven guidelines to consider when choosing a training program.

  1. Experience
How long has the promoter of the training program been in business? Is he speaking from experience? Trainers that are proud of their experience will tell you immediately in their sales letter how long they have been in Internet marketing. The more experience the more likely you will learn from their experience.

  2. Content
Is the content of the program designed to teach you how to get started, as well as, teaching more advanced techniques? Or, is the training focused on one or two "secrets" to success? The sales letter should describe what to expect from the program.

  3. Guarantee
Is the training risk free? Can you try it out and get your money back if you're not satisfied? 60 days should give you enough time and experience with the program to see if it works for you. Don't be reluctant to ask for your money back if you are not satisfied.

  4. Testimonials
Most sales letters show testimonials from satisfied customers. Read them. They can help you make a decision. If possible, contact the contributors and find out first hand what they like about the program.

  5. Support
Does the training program offer online and offline support? Nothing is more frustrating than not knowing what to do next and not having someone to contact. Can you contact them by phone and e-mail? Do they offer support on weekends?

  6. Price
Is it a one time fee or a recurring fee? Many training programs require a monthly fee simply because they are constantly adding new material to the program as the Internet marketing business evolves. Others charge a one time fee, give you the course and leave you to fend for yourself. They then later add new modules for purchase as the industry changes.

  7. Sincerity
This is purely a subjective observation. While reading the sales letter or listening to the audio clip, take note of your response. Do you feel that there is more hype than content? Aside from wanting to sell you their program, is there a sense of sincerity in the presentation? Do they really want to teach you what they know? Do they want you to succeed? Follow your gut feeling.

Visit forums and blogs and ask for advice. You will get valuable information and opinions about training programs. Ultimately, the choice is yours. There are many reputable step-by-step training programs. Find one that fits your budget and your needs. Stick with it. Most of the reputable training programs give you the same information. Jumping from one training program to another will only deplete your bank account. Nevertheless, step-by-step training programs give you guidance about where to start and give order to the tasks you must accomplish.
