Toy Story 3 - A Review

Expert Author Andrew Spencer

Well, what can I say? Wow, those clever chaps at Pixar have done it again!

Following the phenomenal success of Toy Story and Toy Story 2, some may have questioned the wisdom of a third film being made. We should not have been concerned as Toy Story 3 complements the first two perfectly.

Cinematically brilliant, exciting, funny and poignant, Toy Story 3 excels in all aspects and does not disappoint on any level.

The story in brief:

Andy is preparing for college and after sifting through his belongings, decides to take Woody (our hero) with him as a memento of his childhood. His other well loved toys, he intends to keep and puts them in a bag, ready to be stored in the attic. Sadly, a mistake is made and they inadvertently get taken to The Sunnyside Daycare Centre.

Initially, the toys are thrilled as they believe that they are to be played with once again by eager children. It soon becomes apparent that the toddlers at the centre are not as gentle as Andy and that the centre's existing toys are not as friendly as first thought.

One of the characters, Lots-o'-Huggin' Bear is down right sinister.

Thankfully, Woody saw where the toys were taken and hatches a plan to help them escape.

Fun all the way, but have the tissues handy.

Well done Pixar people. While you sit celebrating at your office desks, a large slice of mutual admiration is in order, along with a pat on the back for all.
