Gateway of India: The Gateway of India is situated on the waterfront in the South Mumbai. It is one of the most splendid monuments of the city with its own magnificence. It was built in early 19th century to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary on December 2, 1911. The foundation stone of this beautiful architecture was laid on March 31, 1913. Designed by George Wittet it took almost 4 years to complete the construction. The structure is magnificently constructed in the Indo-Saracenic style using yellow basalt and reinforced concrete.

Mahalakshmi Racecourse: It is a racing ground situated in the Mahalaxmi area of the city. Elite class people visit this oval shaped ground to enjoy horse races and other activities of magnificent creatures.

Jahangir Art Gallery: The gallery was built in the year 1952 and is named after a famous art patron Sir Jahangir Cowasji. It holds magnificent exhibitions of paintings and sculpture. The beautiful collection of Sir Jahangir's art can be glared at the Prince of Wales Museum.

Flora Fountain: Built in the year 1864, Flora Fountain is a standing symbol of the strength and courage of those martyrs who laid their life in the formation of the Maharashtra State. Because of this reason it is also known as the Martyr's Square or the Hutatma Chowk. This marvelous tourist attraction has a magnificent statue of Flora - the Roman Goddess of Flowers, on top.

Hanging Garden: It is a beautiful terrace garden situated on the three water reservoir constructed in 1880. This garden also beholds the majestic Topiary art exhibited in the animal and human shapes cut into hedges.

Marve and Manor Beaches: These are exciting beaches best for refreshment after a long and tiring day. The flowing water, the serene breeze, swaying coconut trees, and the charm of cashew nut trees are the key attractions.

National Park: It is a wonderful picnic spot situated in the east of Borivali Station. The highlight of this pleasant holiday resort is the Mahatma Gandhi Smriti Mandir built on the hill top. From there visitors can have a striking panorama of the developing suburbs.
